Hi there! I'm so sorry I'm writing this as a comment but I have found my way here through your twitter and I couldn't find your email address anywhere, and this seemed like the only way to contact you ! My name is Alina and I'm a 5th year student of social psychology from a univeristy in Warsaw, Poland. Right now I'm working on my master's thesis and since my biggest passion is cross-cultural psychology, I decided to devote my work to the topic of acculturation. To be more precise, I'm focusing on people from western cultures who are living in Japan.
I think there is no better way of understanding something that concearns people, than to simply talk with them and ask specific questions That's why as a main method of my study I chose interviews and if You would be so kind and like to help me, I'd be very grateful for a chance to do an interview with You. Basically the interview is just a conversation about how is it to be a foreigner in Japan. I'm doing the interviews through Skype, usually using the video call option. If you would agree to help me, would it be possible for us to set up a date when we could this? From my experience, the interview usually takes around 1 hour.
I'd like to assure you that the interviews are strictly private, for myself only - no other person will hear or read them. The results are aggregated and my master's thesis promoter only reads my own analysis of the topics that came up during my conversations with people.

Hoping to hear from you soon
thank you so much in advance
Take care :)
Alina
